5 Things College Students Actually Want In A Care Package

What college student doesn't love care packages from home?

Whether it's Halloween candy, Christmas decorations or Valentine's Day hearts, opening a box from Mom and Dad is something that brings a smile to anyone's face!

However, there are some things that cannot fit into a box or perhaps some things that will never be sent by UPS.

1. A hug from Mom.

Sometimes all we need is a long, warm hug from our mother to make our day better.

2. Alcohol.

Please, the bars are expensive.

3. "The Fairly Odd Parents."

Dear Cosmo and Wanda,

Please grant me the following wishes:

An extension from the professor on the paper I had two weeks to write and have yet to start the night before it's due.

Free college textbooks.

The ability to consume alcohol and not get a hangover.

A clone that can attend all classes for me, and the ability for me to telepathically learn it.

4. Money.

Seriously, I have $3 on my debit card.

5. Toilet paper.

Living on your own means having to buy your own toilet paper, which means stealing it from the campus gym locker rooms.

Go spread the word to your parents and hoping you have your ultimate care package waiting in your mailbox one day!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
