College is a place where you can try new things and find passions that you didn't know that you had, maybe try out for a theatre production when you never had the guts to audition in high school. Try the activities that might not have been available in high school or that you didn't have time for. Make sure that you don't over commit and burnout from over involving yourself but also don't just sit in your room all day.

Meeting new people is a necessity of college when you step onto campus it is filled with people that you don't know from all over the world. It is imperative to get out of you dorm room and meet a few of the amazing people that surround you, getting to know people also helps give you a support net that can help encourage you when you feel homesick or help edit that paper that you have to turn in tomorrow.
