Because we can only take so much Netflix.

5 Things To Do If You Get Bored This Summer

Summer is finally here! And while we all deserve some much needed r&r and binge-watching Netflix, after this is done there are so many things we could do with three whole months of free time. Even if we are working, there is no homework or studying to do! That adds up to a lot of free time! So here are some ways to make the most of your summer vacation:

1. Read a book

Or better yet, find a list (or make one) that you want to complete by the end of summer. This could give you more motivation to actually read.

2. Go hiking

Pretty much everywhere has good hiking trails. And hiking is a super fun form of exercise.

3. Learn how to make at least two delicious meals (healthiness is optional).

Really learn how to make them, so eventually you won't even need a recipe. It makes it easier to cook it in between those study sessions next semester.

4. Learn a new language

Whether it is ASL, Spanish, or Mandarin, you could learn a lot of the basics just practicing for a little bit every day. And with apps like Duolingo and fun videos on YouTube, it's even a little fun! Trust me.

5. Learn how to play an instrument

Because who hasn't wanted to be musically talented at some point in their lives?

Anyway, these are just some ideas in case you get bored over the summer. Now get back to relaxing! You deserve it!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
