Happiness depends on the elements you incorporate into your life. What you want verses what you need. These lines are often blurred leaving us confused and often leading a life of abundance. If you take the time to really evaluate what these things are, you will find the core components that silhouette your happiness. Your list may vary from one to another but that doesn't make it any less right. It works for you. Here is a list to get you started. If you feel there are pieces missing, add them into the comments section.
1. Family
There are moments when we take family for granted or they push our buttons to the tipping point, but we can always rely on them. In college we often forget this. We will go weeks without talking to the people we can count on the most. A phone call once a week isn't much, but can mean a lot to the person on the other end.
2. Friends
Whether it's getting each others backs or getting into trouble, friends are essential. A close-knit circle of friends will get you through anything. These people get you. They will question you, support you, and protect you. Finding this type of bond gives you a sense of belonging, and that's priceless.
3. Sleep
Life is demanding and often prevents us from getting as much sleep as we should. If you're currently or have ever been in college you have experienced this firsthand. Sleep will re-energize and refresh you. It allows you to start fresh if you were having a bad day. It give's you a chance to relax. Don't be ashamed to take a nap; you will be thankful you did.
4. Food
Is this one really up for debate? Not only is it necessary, but it's a fun pastime. I mean look at that kid, it's the best thing in his life.
5. Water
Drink too much and it could be harmful, but not enough will result in the same effect. Water brings a lot to the table when it comes to life. It covers 71 percent of the Earth's surface and is home to all types of species. Yes, we drink it, but it also provides quality entertainment. Don't take this one for granted, it's important.
