5 Things All Tourists Should Never Do in United States

In This Article:

You have surely dreamed about going to the United States of America, especially if you are reading this article right now. If you're planning to visit the United States in the following weeks or days (which is awesome), you'll surely need some piece of advice in order to be able to organise the best trip you have ever had. There are many things someone should consider when planning a trip or maybe some longer holidays to a destination far away from home, a place where they have never been before, namely the USA.

Don't miss the security fact and make sure you are not scammed

Let's start with the security facts. Recently specialists say that more and more frauds have been registered by phone. Scammers call even innocent tourists and try to steal their personal information or money from their bank accounts. All tourists should be aware of these risks and take the initiative to protect themselves from being fooled. There are internet tools that can help you all with checking the identity of an unknown caller based on the number they use to call you from. Who Called Me UK is a platform that helps you stay safe while traveling, being available in a lot of countries in the world, including the United States of America, of course.

Don't forget to take your documents

Tourists who go to the USA should not forget the administration paper they need, especially if they need a visa and any other personal documents in order to be traveling without any stress.

Don't make the mistake to not check the weather

Another thing they will need to do is to check the weather and see what clothes they need to pack. Lately the weather has been quickly changing, so you should think about checking the weather before starting to pack.

Many tourists don't have a plan of what they want to visit

Not being organised on what you want to visit makes you lose precious time and causes frustration sometimes. Don't make this mistake many tourists make. Take a notebook and a pen and start writing down options of what you could visit in the USA. Watching some videos on YouTube about people who already went to the USA and about the experience they had may also be helpful and give some insights on what will happen on your case.

Never forget about food

Food is essential for living and this is also a great reason to visit a new country.

You can have a "To eat" list, for example, with the American food you want to try at least once. This trip can also be a great culinary experience so make sure you make the most of it.

We have described in the previous paragraphs some ideas on how you can best plan your trip to the USA. Now that you know this, let's plan that trip. Hope you'll enjoy all of it!

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
