While put together and neat in public, the second any girl gets home after a long day, you can bet these are the first things she does

1. Changes into sweatpants and an old T- shirt

Wearing a dress and uncomfortable shoes and all those accessories in the comfort of your own bed seems absurd, don't you think?

2. Throws her hair up whatever which way

It doesn't matter if it was already in a ponytail or a messy bun that took 30 minutes to perfect, if you aren't feeling it you change it (even if it makes you look like there's a birds nest on your head)

3. Takes off her makeup, or procrastinates doing so

If it's late or if there's no way you're going out later, that makeup comes right off and stays off

4. Pigs out

Chips, cookies, pizza, etc. You stuff your face with whatever you can get your hands on

5. Spreads out on the couch or bed

No more sitting "lady like". Whether you're watching TV, doing homework, or scrolling through the insta-train, you're sprawled out like a starfish

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.
