5 Things About Summer To Look Forward To

Everybody waits all year for summertime, and luckily, June 21st is right around the corner. Summer is more than just high temperatures and shorts, and summer entails that there is so much to look forward to!

1. The Beach

There is nothing better than a beautiful, sunny beach day with family or friends, and it is finally going to get hot enough to enjoy the beach

2. Ice Cream

Summer = soft serve ice cream, the ice cream truck, and endless flavors. It is safe to say that a summer would be incomplete without ice cream.

3. Rosé

Need I say no more? We wait all year just to sip Rosé wine on the beach with family and friends while watching the sunset, hanging on the beach, or to satisfy our happy hour cravings.

4. Barbecues

Not sure what to eat for lunch or dinner? Well, during the summer, the decision is a pretty obvious choice. Hamburgers, hotdogs, watermelon and more, barbecues are a summer favorite.

5. Summer nights

Basic, but it is undeniable that summer nights are adventurous, careless, and so fun. There is so much to look forward to this upcoming summer, and I can't wait to see what summer 2017 holds in store.

5. If you ever got “the eye,” you knew you were screwed.

6. You were always the first to leave your group of friends when hanging out.

7. If you say you will be home at a certain time, you better be home at that time.

8. Seeing a missed call from your parents sends fear and horror through your veins.

9. If relatives are coming over to the house, your room better be clean.

10. You are careful about what jokes you share with your parents.

11. "You’re not an adult until you turn 18! You can do whatever you want then!"

12. If plans change while you’re out, you better text or call.

13. Don’t talk back. Ever.

14. When you’re called by your full name, you’re in deep trouble.

15. Don’t make them call your name twice.

16. Sleepovers are not a thing.

17. Despite all of these things, you know your parents love you.
