5 Things You May Or May Not Know About Robert Carlyle

Robert Carlyle is an actor that most people might know him from his role of Rumplestiltskin from the TV show "Once Upon a Time." Since I am such a huge fan of this brilliant man, I've decided to write an entire article dedicated to him! So grab yourself a cup of tea and let's learn more about him, shall we, dearie?

1. Sorry ladies, he's married!

Yes, it is true, Robert is married with three beautiful children! His wife, Anastasia Shirley, is a makeup artist (which is how they met!) He is blessed with three beautiful children: Ava, Harvey and Pearce Joseph. They currently live in Glasgow.

2. His mother missed out on a lot.

His mother, Elizabeth, left him and his father when he was merely four years old. In an interview, he said, “I think I came to the conclusion that some women just aren’t maternal, and my mum was one of them. I’m sure I hated her at one time, but as I’ve gone through my twenties, thirties, forties and now my fifties, I feel sorry for her more than anything because she missed out on so much. She missed out on me and, especially, she missed out on her grandchildren -- and that’s punishment enough, isn’t it?” (credit to The Telegraph)

3. His new project is a hit!

Not only did he star in this film, but he also directed it! Carlyle plays the main character, Barney Thomson, that has taken up a new hobby: homicide! This hilarious movie should definitely be on the list of movies you should check out!

4. Thanks for the inspiration, dearie!

A fun fact for anybody that's a fan of his Rumplestiltskin character: his high-pitched imp voice was inspired by Carlyle's youngest son, Pearce! So cute!

5. What is love?

When asked what he believed love is like, he replied that he felt like love feels like safety. That you've got everything covered; no stress and no fear.

For anyone who doesn't know that this incredible man exists, you should definitely look into him! He has starred in many other movies besides "Once Upon a Time." Let's not forget the movie that he just directed, "The Legend of Barney Thomson." I cannot urge everyone enough to check out this movie. Personally, I'm biased because I absolutely adore the man, but I digress.

If this article introduced you to him for the first time: you're welcome!

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
