1. Black Out or Get Out
Speaking from personal experience, this theme is most successful in the ability of its very name to attract attention. Its bold name speaks volumes to the type of bash this will be, and more serves to encourage a way for partygoers to appreciate a common goal rather than to actually enforce the unfortunate occurrence of blacking out. Some will infer from the theme to wear black- but definitely enforce this dress code for maximum impact.
2. Pajama Party
I list this mostly because I have never attended one, but judging from how amazingly comfortable and cozy wearing my onesie to a Halloween party was, it would not be a bad idea at all. I can only imagine the incredible situation of simply rolling into bed upon returning from a party, already appropriately dressed for a restful night of Z’s.
3. Toga Party
This is a universal crowd-pleaser because it speaks to partygoers of all levels- those who like to go all out can create their own toga out of sheets or whatever else they desire, and those who tend to choose comfort over effort can easily put on a white dress or top and use a headband as a decorative prop.
4. Loggers & Joggers
This one is popular for its versatility. There are so many ways to take it and no matter how everyone dresses, it results in a cluster of diversity- aka, a variety of flannels, Lulu lemon gear, and whatever else people interpret the somewhat-flexible definitions of loggers and joggers to be.
5. Hawaiian Luau
Rounding out the list is one that I have also never experienced firsthand, but while envisioning coconut bras and hula skirts, I don’t see where there’s room to go wrong with this one. set up a Tiki bar and serve tropical drinks, obviously with the little decorative umbrellas.
