A few days after Thanksgiving and most families are probably still eating leftovers. You may be tired of the same old meals but here are 5 must have renditions of thanksgiving leftovers.

1. Classic Turkey Sandwich

Nothing beats a classic leftover turkey sandwich: toasted bread with cranberry sauce, turkey (or ham), stuffing, and with some gravy. This is a recipe that comes purely from your own imagination. However, you can also follow this recipe from the Food Network for a You can also change it up by panini. You can also change it up by making a burrito or wrap with some greens too.

2. Thanksgiving Pot Pie

I love homemade chicken pot pie, so you can bet I was more than eager to try it using thanksgiving leftovers. Personally, I make it the same way I make a chicken pot pie but add turkey and some gravy with the veggies. If you don't have enough gravy left, then you can add a bit of either cream of chicken or cream of mushroom to the mix. Detroit Free Press has a different recipe that may take more time but full of flavor.

3. Turkey and Wild Rice Soup

Although I have never tried this unique leftover interpretation from Mountain Mama Cooks, the pictures make this soup recipe look like one of the best on this list. If you don't like wild rice, then you can always simply change to brown or jasmine rice instead. You can even use orzo or quinoa depending on your preference; making this recipe very easy to make gluten free if needed.

4. Turkey Chili

For those of you who are a bit more adventurous, you may like having Turkey Chili. This is another recipe that can be changed to your preference. You can also add a special kick with some spicy peppers if you would like. Country Living has a wonderful recipe that uses pinto, kidney, and black beans. However, you can substitute one can for another if you prefer a specific kind of beans.

5. Simple Shepard's Pie

If you still have some leftover mashed potatoes, then maybe you could try this Shepard's Pie recipe from County Living. This Shepard's Pie recipe contains all the basic ingredients with added leftover turkey, ham, and mashed potatoes. You can also use leftover sweet potatoes instead, just make sure not to have too many marshmallow unless you want your pie to be on the sweeter side.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week.
