Ever since television was created many, many years ago, the networks that create the shows have slowly gained access to our emotions. Whether its making us cry, smile, or get so angry that we never watch the show again. Or sometimes, just plain gross us out. But the tv shows i tend to watch are the ones with constant drama (because whats better than keeping audiences on our toes). And since summer is just about over, I have watched enough tv to last a lifetime. So here is my list of the tv shows that have recently torn my heart out, stomped on it and sometimes re-healed itself completely.
1. "The Vampire Diaries"
Oh lordy, You'll have to prepare your heart weeks in advanced. This 7 almost 8 season series has some MAJOR heartbreak, but at the same time It fills your mind with joy. It started back in 2009, and is about a girl who had just lost her parents in an accident that she happened to be in, but survived (no spoilers, you'll just have to watch it yourself). Ends up being in a very emotional love triangle, and everything goes crazy. Vampires and, Witches and, Werewolves, OH MY! definitely my favorite drama on television now. (Oh and not to mention, the guys on here are HOT HOT HOT!).
2. "Hart Of Dixie"
A New Yorker doctor moves to the small town of Bluebell. A charming town in Alabama. Soon realizes that she's there for one reason. (Once again not spoiling). Ends up finding herself, as well, in some sort of love...PENTAGON. That's right, there is way more than 2 options for this love doctor. Between moving thousands of miles away, and the struggles of being a small town doctor competing for her practice against the much wiser and older Dr. Breland. Zoe Hart finds herself into all sorts of trouble. There are 4 seasons, starting from 2011-2015. It, sadly, came to an end and it made me cry. But why did it make me cry? Was i happy, was i sad? You'll have to watch and see.
3. "The Fosters"
A bi-cultural family led by two lesbian mothers, take in foster kids to fill their hearts, as well as their home, take in new foster child, Callie. Who recently just got out of juvie. Between falling for her foster-brother, trying to stay connected with her younger brother Jude, Callie keeps getting into trouble. Which leads to VERY harsh decisions, and good and bad consequences. The Fosters started in 2013, and still going strong with four seasons of heartwarming, and soul crushing intensity. Be ready for your jaw to hit the floor a few times.
4. "Young & Hungry"
Many of us remember, Emily Osment from her unforgettable role as Lilly on Hannah Montana. But today, she plays Gabi Diamond, an upbeat, semi-confident, broke as most of us college students, personal chef for a computer wiz and the very wealthy Josh Kaminski. Still barely paying her bills, and sharing an apartment with her longtime friend, She gets herself into many dilemmas. Once again she is one who has more than two love interests. Actually in one of the episodes another Disney star makes an appearance and shocks most people with her... new look. (Watch and see!).Trust me it will leave you wanting to yell at the writers and tell them to JUST GET ON WITH IT. (You'll understand by season 2!). Starting in 2014, this funny drama is still going with four mind-boggling seasons. Anyways, this is definitely a different side to Emily Osment than what most of us are used to! Let's just say, she definitely pulled a Hannah Montana on us!
5. "Once Upon A Time"
A world between reality and fairy tales, there is Storybrooke, Maine. A boy sets out to find his mother so that she can crush the curse his adoptive mother casted?!?! Yes, that's right. Henry, whose mother gave him up at birth because she was still a child herself, finds a book that makes so much sense to him. A book, being a real life story? No way. But indeed, It's true. A show bringing all the villains and heroes to life. Even the fairytale characters we've all completely forgotten about, show up in this land of Storybrooke. Trying to help those in the enchanted forest, and keeping some out. This is truly a story of unforgettable adventures. Six seasons in and everyone still on their toes. Once Upon A Time, started back in 2011, and is still entertaining to see. Think about it... Maybe all these fairy tales DO stitch together some how.
Hopefully, I have encouraged some of you to sit in bed all day with a box of tissues and a stress ball. Enjoy these shows, and LET THE BINGE WATCHING BEGIN!
