5 Summer Essentials

Well it is officially summer down here in the First State...that's Delaware for those of you who don't know!! As we kicked off MDW at the pool and then the beach I'd say I have 5 summer essentials that I will ALWAYS have with me. Check them out down below!!

1. SUNSCREEN

Now I know this is pretty obvious but I got a really bad spotty sunburn this weekend and I did put screen on!! It is important to always have sunscreen on especially your face/lips. Nothing is worse than burning your lips. So sunscreen is KEY!

2. Rainbow Sandals

THE BEST sandals I have ever bought!! I have the regular thick band and the small band. They not only look great, but once they're broken in they are extremely comfortable. They dry in seconds and last a very long time. Definitely a summer 2916 MUST HAVE.

3. Ray Bans

Now I know they are really expensive for a pair of sunglasses BUT I buy mine off amazon and get great deals. Yes, they are real Ray Bans not knock offs. I have four pairs and LOVE every one. Whether you're at the pool, the beach or walking around town, Ray Bans are the way to go.

4. Lifeproof Case

Best case I have ever purchased. I no longer have to be worried about having my phone out when it is raining or when I am holding a cold coffee the dew on it ruining my phone. I am always dropping my phone and with the lifeproof case I know it will be safe. Plus since it is water proof its great for a day at the beach or pool!!

5. Good Music

Nothing completes an awesome day out like some good music to jam to! At a bbq, you HAVE to have music, that is what completes the day! Whether you are driving around in the car with friends or taking a walk around the development, good music will be sure to make you feel happy!

Enjoy summer 2016 people, I know I will!!!!

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Advice To Live By As Told By Bob's Burgers

The Belchers hold the key to a better life.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
