As summer 2017 approaches, people are getting ready for graduations and moving home and spending time with friends and family. If the summer boredom hits you like a truck like it always does to me, here are some activities that will keep the boredom at bay.

1. Mini Golf

Of course mini golf! Duh! Spend a nice afternoon with friends getting super competitive and then off to get ice cream to end the day. You could even plan a bonfire after!

2. Batting Cages

I mean who doesn't love to hit some balls around? Gives you a good workout and gives you an opportunity to work of some steam from working all week.

3. Amusement Parks

WHO DOESN'T LOVE AMUSEMENT PARKS! Ride roller coasters and you can cool off in the water if they offer a water park, get a nice tan and make some of the best memories of your life.

4. Go camping

I mean if you want to go to go to a state park or just pitch a tent in the back yard, just spend some time outside. Unplug, turn your phone off, build a fire and roast marshmellos. Grab a guitar for the more musically inclined and sing a little. Appreciate the people in your life and make some memories with your best friends.

5. Go Kayaking

Spend a day on the water, take pictures, stop and have a picnic and work on that fabulous tan. Just float your happy little butt down the river and relax. After all. you earned it working all week.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
