We love it, until we hate it. Here are 5 struggles a student might face when they attend school in a big city.
You miss the nature
Major cities usually do have a park or two but it's not exactly the same as having mountains to hike, beaches, or wide open areas to drive through. You definitely don't have a wide open campus.
You miss driving.
There is so much to say, you just want the freedom to drive around with your friends! Public transportation can get old real quick. Being late to class is quite common.
It might not always feel legit.
Students in the city don't exactly consider themselves "students", we work more than we study and we basically just live in the city and sometimes attend classes.
You probably don't have many sports teams.
Where do you practice?!?
Everyone assumes that you party constantly.
We don't, clubs/bars are expensive. Most of the time the best nights out are the ones you spend walking through the streets with your friends eating cheap food.
