We're proud, we're messy, but we're organized too!

5 Struggles of a Semi-Organized Person As Told By Gene Belcher
Bob's Burgers Wiki

Some of us are crazy organized and have our ducks in a row, whereas some are the opposite. Right now we're talking about the people that fall right in the middle, and we're a proud people but certainly have tendencies to fall on one side or another from time to time. Bob's Burgers seems completely unrelated, but that's sort of the point which I'll get to.

1. Sometimes we do things that don't always make sense.

Whether it's multitasking to start out the morning, like attempting to rake a brush through our hair with a toothbrush while trying to brush our teeth with the hair brush, we get it figured out eventually. Give us a second to realize that what we're doing isn't making sense. Although brushing our hair with a toothbrush and teeth with the hair brush is unlikely, I'm sure it's not the first time this type of thing has happened. Bear with us, and we'll get back into taking it one step at a time...eventually.

2. Boy, do we get distracted.

As much as I would love a hot fudge carwash, like hot fudge, food is a huge distraction. Hanger, phone, Netflix, baby animal videos, social media, shiny things, whatever it may be; any one of these things can and normally do keep me from responsibility. Being semi-organized doesn't always mean organizing belongings or spaces, but also maintaining mind organization... occasionally.

3. Speaking of spatial relations, some parts of our lives can remain somewhat immaculate whereas others are a travesty.

If you're anything like me, I try to keep my car as clutter free as possible but my room can look like my closet threw up everywhere. My car isn't immaculate, I mean it could use the healing touch of the vacuum, but sometimes it can be hard to keep some places clean and we make our messes. We're busy, we're kinda messy, but we're proud.

4. Trying to organize our lives can be a struggle and a half.

We have a lot to figure out with school, work, bills, schedules and what not. Sometimes it gets hard for us to decide what we want to do with our lives so we change our minds on how we want to do things, but what we want to do with our lives doesn't always mean career path. One week we may want to try starting meal prepping or working out more, but it'll be a tricky start in some cases. Other times we're mixing up plans, like showing up to a friend's house at 2pm but were actually suppose to help your brother pack for college. Don't worry, we'll figure it out... We got this. Kind of.

5. When we finally do get it figured out, it's bliss and we enjoy it while it lasts.

After a good stress clean, not mixing up plans during a busy week, staying focused on a task, or anything like it; it's a great time for us to relax. During this time, we're also trying with every fiber of our being not to mess it up again which has 50/50 odds most of the time. Either way, we're happy when we're clean and we can be happy when we're messy. It's just a matter of what we're feeling.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
