If you've ever lived in Mawa, or Wiley-Jackson if you want to get all technical, at Emory and Henry College, then you know it can sometimes be very interesting. There are lots of ups and downs that come with living in the cheapest dorm on campus. But, if you want the true freshman experience here at Emory and Henry, Mawa is the place to be!
1. Everyone breaks things.
People are apparently just extremely destructive. They break windows, doors, signs, you name it. And, of course, they don't come forward and you are the one to pay for it.
2. THE TRAIN.
This one really needs no explanation.
3. Quiet Hours? What's that?
Enforced or not, and sometimes not even a bad thing, I think everyone living in
4. Fire drills.
Multiple times a week, sometimes multiple times a night.
5. The locking closets.
You accidentally lock them, and then you have to call Campo or your RA to come unlock it for you. Why do they lock? What are they for? Why do they even exist?
So, if you're looking for the experience of a lifetime, just live in Mawa. It's a home away from home. Go Wasps!
