5 Stores To Shop At If You're A Plus-Size Woman

As a plus sized woman, I've had my fair share of struggles while shopping for clothing. It's too tight, too short, or it just doesn't compliment me the way it should. After lots of research, here are 5 places that are safe for you to go and spend your money at. Now, while I'm here advocating for plus sized women, all other body types should get some recognition: all bodies are beautiful. Every single body is gorgeous and no body should be shamed. Ever.

1. Lane Bryant

Yes, it's expensive, but if you need something professional, nice, or semi-formal, this is the place to go. From tee-shirts and jeans to semi formal dresses you can find anything you need in your size. I've never had any problems finding a comfortable fit in any clothing! Just be careful: you will spend your entire paycheck if you let yourself go. The clearance racks are honestly amazing, though! #PlusIsEqual

2. Torrid

Another place where you could potentially spend your entire paycheck, but damn will you look hot. #LoveYourself

3. AdoreMe

I love by AdoreMe. Their sizes are pretty true and their stuff is comfortable. They sell everything from T-Shirt bras to lingerie, you'll definitely find something for you. If you sign up for their VIP, you'll get your first set for $20. After that, sets are usually $39.95-$49.95, but it's definitely worth the money. Comfortable, nice, and easy to dress up or down. They always have sales and deals, so check it out now! #PlusIsSexy

4. Catherine's

I'm sure you're sensing a pattern: Plus size clothing is expensive. However, if you look around and follow deals, you can save some cash! Catherine's usually has some more casual clothing as well as some "RSVP Worthy" clothes as well!! #PlusIsBeautiful

5. Forever 21

Although it can be limited, it's extremely affordable. Probably the most affordable on the list. It may rip, but the top was so cheap that you don't even mind! #PlusIsOkay

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
