Sometimes life is hard. Sometimes you want to spend the day wrapped in seven blankets and surrounded by a dozen pillows. Sometimes being a productive human is the last thing you want to do. But sometimes, it's a Wednesday morning, your 6:35 alarm went off, and you have to shower, make yourself presentable, eat breakfast, and get to work. Here's what to do on those days.

1. Get up.

Throw the blankets off. Push the pillows away. Crawl, roll, or climb out of bed. Put your feet on the floor, and walk into your day. You can do this.

2. Take a cold(er) shower.

I know how tempting it is to take a long, hot shower when you wake up feeling the stress of the world on your shoulders. Do not do it. If you do, you'll stay too long, and the next time you see a clock, you'll only feel more stressed. Instead, wake yourself up with a quick, cold shower. If you can handle that, you can handle the rest of the day.

3. Put on something nice.

Whoever said, "Fake it 'til you make it," was onto something. Feel like wearing sweats? Not today, you won't! Put on the shirt that makes you smile, the pants that make your legs look amazing, and the boots that scream, "I can kick today's ass." Because you're going to do just that.

4. Eat breakfast.

No, excess amounts of sugar does not count. Eat fruit. Eat grains. Eat protein. Be healthy. Feel healthy. Start your day with the breakfast of a champion so you can feel like a champion.

5. Look at the time you have to relax.

Look at that. You managed to be ready for work with time left to spare. What are you going to do with it? Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Color or draw a little bit. Just admire the view from your window. Relax.

Guess what? You have managed to be a productive human when all you wanted to do was stay in bed. You did it. It took five steps, and you took so many toward a great day. Smile, laugh, and be happy. You deserve it. You deserve this.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
