Being a dedicated Syracuse basketball fan is not an easy thing to do. Year after year, the team takes its fans on a series of ups and downs, leaving you with a variety of emotions. Some days, you're questioning why you remain loyal, and some days, you're sporting your orange attire with absolutely no shame.

1. Surprising Success

It's okay to admit that many wins come as surprises, even the players seem to think so. Nothing shocks you quite like a impressive win after a consist losing streak, and nothing is as satisfying as SU underdog victories.

2. Defending Boeheim

Whether you enjoy his ridiculous facial expressions or get riled up during his fights with the referees, Jim Boeheim makes being a Syracuse fan that much better. No matter what he illegally does, you just gotta love him.

3. False Hope

You've definitely related to this expression if you follow the team at all. They seem to always follow up an amazing run or play with a heartbreaking mistake. No, heartbreaking is not an overstatement.

4. Wavering Loyalty

There are times these losses and moments catch up to you and make you question why you follow a team that causes you so much stress. This is seen in true form by all the hard-core fans screaming at TVs, throwing objects and admittedly, the occasional tear here and there.

5. Pride

No matter how many times they let you down, something about Syracuse basketball keeps you going. Kings of overtime and definers clutch, the team truly is something to be proud of. Sport that orange and own it.
