For many people, meeting their favorite celebrity is an ultimate life goal. The celeb might be a superstar, or they might be a small band that plays intimate gigs. Either way, when the time comes, you'll be feeling lots of feelings. Here's a list of the all the emotions you'll be feeling throughout the process of meeting them!
1. Disbelief:
From the minute you realize that your dreams might become reality, and that the magical moment of your eyes meeting for the first time is definitely going to happen, there are bound to be feelings of disbelief. I mean, this is the person that you dream about, that appears in all your imagined fantasies of when you get famous. One day, you’re convinced you’ll be best friends. Now that you know you’re finally going to meet your future BFF, everything inside you feels like screaming out of joy and fear.
2. Ecstasy:
The big moment is finally here. Whether you’ve waited to meet your favorite celebrity from a mere 30 seconds to a torturous 10 hours, they’re finally there in front of you and no amount of waiting matters. That pain in your right foot disappears, your hunger is forgotten and the sun comes out to shine just for this one meeting. All your problems are solved, and the only thing you can feel is the pure bliss of looking into your idol’s eyes. The encounter might be as little as a wave as they walk by, or they might even full-on hug you and have a conversation with you. But it doesn’t matter, because this is the best thing ever and nothing else matters because you're so happy.
3. Obsession:
This feeling is very similar to disbelief, except better. This is when all you can think about is your meeting with this person. Every second of it is played back in your head. You swear, you’re never taking this shirt off, and you’ll never see eyes as pretty as theirs and “Oh My God, did you see them wink at me?” This goes on until your friends and family have heard the story enough times to recite it themselves.
4. Regret:
After the initial excitement dies down, and you’re done analyzing all the amazing things that happened, you now turn to all the things you did wrong. For instance, you can’t believe you didn’t stick with the script you’d planned in your head. I mean, how many times a day do people scream “I love you!” at celebrities? Also, they definitely saw you trip over your own two feet while walking up to them, good job. Now you’ve just made yourself blend into every other person they’ve ever met, and you definitely won’t be invited to their upcoming birthday party. The key to making it through this phase is to just focus on the positives, and to not let anything that didn’t go as planned bother you.
5. Acceptance/ Bragging:
This is the final stage because it means that you’ve stopped analyzing every little detail and can finally breathe. So what if you’ll never be with Taylor Swift’s squad on a gondola in Venice, or standing at the altar with Ryan Gosling? The experience may not have been totally life changing, but damn, you met them. No one can take that experience back, and no matter what, that moment will always be a special memory you share with your favorite celebrity.
