1. The Initial Idea

"Let's go the beach for three days next week." There it is, the idea. You and your friends make eye contact as unanimous smiles creep up your faces. Let's do it, we are going to go to the shore and have the time of our lives, well...we're going to try.

2. The Follow-Up

Now it's time to plan-—who is going to do what, go where and pay for whom. This is the most essential part of the proposal. The follow-up turns what was one just an idea into a blueprint for action. All of a sudden calls are being made and deposits sent. It's getting real, and let's hope it stays that way.

3. The Argument

This is inevitable. Every time a group tries to create some sort of semi-elaborate objective in order to accomplish a task, they cross a small bump in the road. No need to be discouraged, just reassign who is going to get food from the supermarket and who is going to order the beach tags and we'll be all set.

4. Anticipation

It's getting closer to the time of the event, and everyone is actually pretty excited. You've got your suit, towel, money, place to stay and itinerary for what is going to happen. You're ready to hit the road and drive down to the beginning of a great summer memory!

5. The Finale

I am going to give a little tip that may just save your summer plans down the line: someone always flakes. And per usual, the person who was supposed to book the motel not only didn't come through with that but is now simply not going to be coming. There is always some convenient excuse to explain the mishap. They have work, somewhere else to go or "not enough money." All perfectly fine reasons for not attending our beach trip...but not when you wait until the last minute to cancel!

However, summer '16 cannot be stopped. We're going to the beach anyway...it's not illegal to sleep in a car right?

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
