We all have that favorite series we binge watch 24/7. Whether it's in class, on the bus, or at 1 a.m. Sadly, eventually, all good things must come to an end. That infamous last episode that leaves you in tears and depression. You would never wish that day upon your worst enemy. Nobody ever mentions the PTSD you get after a favorite character dies or after a season leaves you with a huge cliffhanger. You will try everything possible to prepare yourself for the end, but it will never get easier.
1. Denial.
Life makes no sense. I have to go socialize with friends now. Why would I ever get out of bed? These are all thoughts racing through your mind as soon as the 'start next episode' button is no longer available.
2. Anger.
Those split-seconds of cursing and throwing things at your computer trying to understand why they would leave the series ending like that.
3. Bargaining.
Your roommates are starting to worry as they hear you scream, "I promise to never yell at you again if you just let me have one more episode!" Then you think to yourself, maybe if I watch the series over and over again, the producers will get the hint to make another season?
4. Depression.
The Big Kahuna finally sets in. Reminiscing on all the laughs and tears you and the characters shared through out their years of growing up. You feel empty and lost without them. An unnatural state that even worries your mother about how to approach the situation.
5. Acceptance.
Reality sets in, and you start to realize there are plenty of other series to watch. Even though that one show will always have a place in your heart, it's now time to get out of bed (or start another series).
