Taking a road trip with your best friends is obviously bound to be a great time, but after hours and hours in a car you're going to go through highs and lows in the trip. This is a timeline of the road trip and how it happens.

Stage 1: The "we're so excited let's sing aka scream along to all our favorite songs"

This is a very solid stage that no one can complain about. You haven't repeated a song even once yet, everyone is pumped to get to wherever you're going, and you all have a million song requests so every song is a favorite. 10/10 would recommend this stage, it lasts the first hour to hour and a half.

Stage 2: The "oh wow we've been in the car for a while and I now realize I'm in this for the long haul"

This is when you realize you're currently stuck in the car for hours and can't do anything about it. You start to think about all the things you accidentally left behind, because you're taking a breather from the jam session mentioned in the stage above. This is a little rough but unless you left behind a concert or game ticket then everything is going to end up okay, because your friends probably have what you need or as we all know, Walmart's exist and can be helpful in this situation. I would say this stage is about an hour because pondering your mental checklist of things that you hope are in the trunk takes a while.

Stage 3: The "I'm getting tired of sitting here but don't want to stop at a gas station quite yet"

This is around hour 3 of the trip, you're getting a little antsy and want to stand up but also have the perfect setup with your pillow, snacks and blanket so it's a toss up as to what you want to do. All you really want is to get there already, but you're still listening to loud music with your best friends and are headed to some fun location so you can survive it together. This probably goes on another hour until you and everyone in the car realizes more snacks are a necessity and it would probably be enjoyable to stand up for a second.

Stage 4: The "okay we've listened to all the songs we aren't tired of and really are over sitting down"

This is the final push in your trip. No one is loving life at this point because you're all tired and REALLY want to get to your destination. This is where you have heard Closer by The Chainsmokers about 5 times and of course will still sing along but hate yourself for it.

Stage 5: The "we all just got a burst of energy because we're so close!!!"

This is awesome because you are less than an hour away and are hyping each other up, game planning what you're going to do when you get there, and getting pumped for your trip!

There you have it! Road trips with your friends are one of the most fun things to do, and now you have an insight on what is really going on in the car with four girls yelling music out the windows.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
