Everyone has a favorite vacation spot. Just thinking about this vacation spot automatically just makes people happy. For me, my favorite place up until this point in my life is Mackinac Island. There are so many things to see on this wonderful island that you can’t see it all in a day.

It has taken me several trips to the island and every time I stumble across something new on the island that I had heard about but had never seen. Of course, I have some favorites on this beautiful island and if you tell me that you are going on a trip to the island these are some of the spots that I will recommend that you stumble across because they are just so beautiful.

1. Anne’s Tablet

This is one of the best views that I have seen of the island! You are out-of-the-way of the main street and all the hustle and bustle of the crowded main and market streets. From here you can see the lake and the downtown area. But don't step inside the horseshoe shape on the ground. There's a legend that if you step in the horseshoe you will have bad luck!

2. Fort Holmes

It’s a bit of a hike to get here and it is the highest point on the island. You can see everything from here! Now you have to be willing to take the hike out here and up or down the 200+ stairs But the pictures from here are so worth it and it was just rebuilt in 2015 after a fire happened!

3.Crack in the island

Yup, you read that right! There is literally a crack in the island and you can climb down in it because in some places it is as deep as three or four feet deep! If you go here you have to get a picture of you or someone who you are exploring the island within the crack!

4.The "Somewhere In Time" Gazebo

If you have yet to see "Somewhere In Time," I recommend that you see it, and then go find this Gazebo next to the state park office up the hill from downtown. It is also located not far from Anne’s Tablet, so after you see Anne's Tablet, take the quick walk here.

5.Point lookout

From here you can see sugar-loaf and this is a beautiful place in the fall when the leafs are starting to change. This is another spot that you have to be willing to climb up a bunch of stairs to get to but it's another one that is totally worth it!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
