I used to be one of those people who could not study with music -- even a small amount of noise and my attention and focus would be gone. But now it's impossible for me to study without it. Here are five great Spotify playlists to help you through your finals studying.
1. Study Time Starts Now
This playlist is a great for those who are distracted by music with words while studying. It consists of a mixture of electronic and acoustic music, and is perfect for getting you started on a long day of writing papers or reading.
2. Feelin' Good
"Feelin' Good" is one of my all time favorite playlists curated by Spotify. It's the best mix of music for your study break. Full of soul hits from the '60s, '70s, and '80s, it's an essential to have for those much needed five minute dance party study breaks with your roommate.
3. Peaceful Piano
Studying for days is undoubtedly draining and stressful. When you need some time to relax, "Peaceful Piano" is a beautiful playlist complete with well known classical pieces as well as piano compositions from more contemporary artists like Agnes Obel.
4. Afternoon Accoustic
Another one of my favorite Spotify curated playlists is "Afternoon Acoustic." Not only does it incorporate contemporary acoustic music from The Lumineers, Hozier, Vance Joy and The Staves, but also some classic favorites from the Goo Goo Dolls, John Mayer and The Beatles. Grab your books, head to the nearest coffee shop, and contemplate why you ever decided to go to college while listening to this playlist, because life is hard and sometimes you need to be dramatic.
5. Happy Folk
Summer. Is. So. Close. Finals are almost over, and it's almost summer! Cheer up and get ready for great times and road trips with the best tracks from The Head and The Heart, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, Shakey Graves and The Avett Brothers.
Good luck, and happy listening.
