1. "All Comes Down" by Kodaline
This song is the first song, and pretty much the only song that will give me goosebumps every single time I listen. I can remember the day I listened to it, and I remember feeling this enormous calmness rush over me. This song is a song I will always go back to, to remind me of the peace I felt on the day I first heard it.
2. "September" by Earth Wind and Fire
If you haven't heard this song, you have been living under a rock for years and years. This is the best jam song out there, and never fails to put a smile on my face. The beat is undeniably catchy, and the chorus is one I will forever insist on screaming on the top of my lungs.
3. "On Top of The World" by Imagine Dragons
Imagine Dragons is a band I was exposed to in high school by some pretty great friends. I remember listening to their album on repeat that same summer, and seeing their concert twice that year, both of which in the rain. This band made me feel so alive, and my anthem was this song.
And I know it's hard when you're falling down
And it's a long way up when you hit the ground
Get up now, get up, get up now
This song reminds me that although you may feel low, and feel as though you're fighting against unimaginable odds, you're going to have to experience these lows to experience and appreciate life's greatest moments.
4. "Lover, Lover" by Jerrod Niemann
Roll down your car windows and turn up the sound, because this song sounds its best just so. Whether I'm letting go of someone who's hurt me or done me wrong, or letting go of my OWN negative thoughts, this song is the perfect representation of leaving negativity behind and going forward with positivity, and putting yourself first.
5. "Sorry Not Sorry" by Demi Lovato
Always be unapologetically yourself. Being true to who I am is so important, but sometimes it's easy to lose sight of that. This song is the anthem for not apologizing for doing what makes you happy! Never apologize for being authentic, and true. Sorry, not sorry!
