My fall semester was definitely, significantly better than my entire year last year. Although there was a much larger workload, I did find myself in a better mindset and really enjoying a lot of my time at school. So, what better way to describe an experience than through music?

1. Miss You - Louis Tomlinson

I literally don't have a significant other but I miss my dogs and that's how I'm going to choose to interpret this song right now. I also don't stand on tables or sing, I just really miss my dogs.

2. Anxiety - blackbear, FRND

This song is a good representation of how I felt around my biggest tests and projects. You know, those days when I literally struggled to find time to eat and sleep around finishing papers and studying for tests.

3. Lonely Road - Willow Smith

A lot of times, in college, you're on your own, being independent and such. I like this song because it's kind of about this independence, and being okay with it. It's okay to do things for yourself, and by yourself.

4. When I Was Young - MO

This song is just me reminiscing on the days when I wasn't trying to figure out my entire future, and instead I could stay up all night instead of falling asleep at 10. Wow, growing up is weird.

5. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

This tune really hypes me up when I have ten million things to do in one night and haven't started any of them. It makes me feel like maybe I have a chance to finish all the work I've put off, even though I don't, but it's that type of false hope that I thrive off of.

You're pretty much feeling yourself. New haircut, clothes, shoes, everything. New year, new you, right? You're ready for this semester to kick off.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
