Anxiety isn’t just being nervous for something specific. Anxiety is being nervous all of the time, for no reason. Simple, daily tasks can feel like the end of the world for someone with anxiety.
Here are my top 5 tasks that are not so simple because of my anxiety.
One: Asking someone at target where the paper towels are.
Two: Calling your dentist office to make an appointment for that wisdom tooth that has already grown in.
Three: Going to your professor’s office hours to get help on that paper that is due in a week.
Four: Setting your alarm, because you might forget to set it and the past 10 times you have jumped out of bed and checked it doesn’t mean anything.
Five: When the professor calls on you in class before you are prepared to talk.
