5 Signs You're In A Committed Relationship

Being in a relationship is one of the most difficult and simultaneously rewarding parts of life. You have to compromise and work together which can prove to be difficult but if you can accomplish that and work through the tough times you will be part of something beautiful, true and strong. Here are some signs I think portray being in a committed relationship

1. They Are Your Best Friend

Now this does not mean your significant other replaces your true best friend but there's always room for one more. Your significant other should be able to know your favorite food, your guilty pleasure TV shows, your little quirks and everything in between and not only accept them but love you even more because they are part of you. Being best friends with your partner (whether that's before you start dating or happens while you're dating) makes everything more fun, more intimate and more serious. Not only does this person know how you like to be treated but they know the things that make you tick and your love is deeper because of it.

2. You Talk About Marriage

Okay, so if you DONT talk about marriage it doesn't make you any less committed to one another but it's definitely fun to imagine your future together. Discussing the when and where of marriage, the endless possibilities, knowing the friends who will be in the bridal party. Just being able to envision your life with the person is really wonderful and of course, a really great sign. Plus, it's really fun to be able to talk about your life with the person you love the most.

3. You Miss Them No Matter How Long It's Been

Sometimes it's been 3 months and all you're craving is one kiss, hearing their voice, feeling their arms around you and even though love them being apart is the hardest thing you could have ever imagined. Other times, it's 3 minutes and you just left their house and you need one more hug, you call them on your way home even though it's just been a few minutes and all you want is to have one more kiss!

4. You Have Stopped Looking At Other People

Now of course if you're looking at Channing Tatum or Jennifer Lawrence we know ya gonna look (I mean come ON!!) but if you're like me, you used to look at every good looking passerby and think "maybe I could be with them" or that next match on tinder could be your Prince/cess Charming but now that you're with the person you really want to be with you hardly even notice the people around you, especially when you're with your S.O., it's like their the only other person in the whole world.

5. You Love Everything About Them

Their morning breath? Still love them. Sleep farts? Still love them. Their sense of humor, favorite TV shows, their smelly sneakers, family values, love, love, love, and love (well maybe not always LOVE but love them even despite those things.) Being in a committed, serious relationship is an amazing feeling and even through the ups and downs, it's truly incredible to know that you have that person by your side no matter what happens.

Make sure to tell your S.O. you love and appreciate them today and every day!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
