Moving into a new house can bring all sorts of complications and cause unnecessary stress. I've moved several times in my life so new and partially empty rooms don't bother me. However the house I've most recently moved into has some strange things going on. But is it really haunted? Or is it just the pipes? Here are 5 signs that your humble abode might have some extra uninvited guest living in it.

#1. Inexplicable noises

There might be footsteps that you can't explain. Unless you share a wall with neighbors. Or if you have a basement or attic you might hear sounds like furniture is being moved around. The most logical explanation is that there could be animals coming in at night.Who knows for sure? I encourage you to check it out and keep your phone on record.

#2. Disappearing Objects

Has your cell phone gone missing? Your car keys? Your wallet? Your money? This could all be caused by your roommate or your childish sibling. Or, it could be a ghost! Or maybe you're just careless with where you put your personal belongings? If your money is missing it could be due to reckless spending as well. A perfectly sound explanation is the Disappearing Object Phenomenon. In this phenomenon objects just disappear. I think the Land of The Lost might be able to explain this phenomenon quite well.

#3. Strange Animal Behavior

If your cat has been staring at dust particles for the past five hours then something is wrong. With your cat I mean. So open up your third eye and try to see what they see.

#4. Cold Spots

The heat is on full blast and all of a sudden you walk into a old closet or room and the temperature drops. By several noticeable degrees. Or its the middle of summer and your room feels like the middle of winter. Maybe someone just left the air conditioning on or just maybe a ghost is the cause of that frigid chill.

#5. You see someone who isn't really there.

This should be the only sign you need to know if your house is haunted. If you actually see a apparition, in whatever form it may take, you might be seeing a ghost. Or you might be starting a bad acid trip. In both cases have fun!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

1. People assume you are mad all of the time.

2. Ten out of ten times you will give off an intimidating impression to others.

3. People do not acknowledge your feelings because you "do not have any."

4. Constantly being exhausted from trying to smile and not look like a witch.

5. And on the rare occasion your facial expressions show how happy you are, your friends think you are going crazy.

6. Each of your friends has said "I thought you were so mean when I first met you" at some point.

7. Then they follow that by saying "you are just hard to read."

8. So naturally if people do not know you they just assume you are a snob.

9. And when you are actually mad, your facial expressions are horrifying.

10. In the end you always look like you are judging people, when in reality people are ALWAYS judging you.
