Whether it be mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or sisters, being raised by strong women leaves a big impact on you. It is because of them that you're the person you are today. You know they have prepared you for the big girl world and looking back, you couldn't be happier that you grew up around such inspiring women.


1. You're leery to let others help you. You'd much rather prefer to be independent and do things on your own.

2. You do not trust easily. It takes some serious time for you to open up to others, whether it be in friendships or relationships. You were taught not to let others in your personal life to save yourself.

3. Confrontation doesn't scare you. If you have an issue, you speak up. No matter who you're confronting. You're not afraid of speaking your mind.

4. You didn't grow up Idolizing silly teenage figures such as Hannah Montana. Instead you preferred woman like Audrey Hepburn and Eleanor Roosevelt.

5. You never allowed a man to dictate your decisions or get in your way. If we didn't support you, you were quick to drop him.

6.You're compassionate, but only to those who truly need it. You don't give affection very often, but to those dear to your heart, you're the most loving person out there.

7. You never cared to partake in gossip. You didn't like to contribute to tearing others down. You prefer making others feel empowered for who they are and helping them reach their full potential.

7. You always wanted to be successful in life, even as a child. You dreamt of growing up to be something incredible.

8. Hard work doesn't scare you. In fact, you thrive and do your best under a lot of pressure and stress. You see obstacles as challenges and you push yourself no matter what.

9. You're hard headed and sometimes you have issues swallowing your pride. It takes you a while to actually accept others ideas and even to acknowledge that you were wrong.

10. Although that's never your intention, you've accepted the fact that some people won't like you because you intimidate them. You don't pay any mind to those who chose to talk about you. You can't help that your a fabulously hard working person and if they don't like you, their loss.You're pretty great.

11. You idolize the women in your family and strive to be like them more and more each day. They're your rock and the ones who taught you what it truly means to be a woman. You owe them your life and hope to someday teach your future daughter the exact same things that they've taught you.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel.
