5 Signs You Might Be An Introvert

In this life there are often two kinds of people; introverts and extroverts. And that's a good thing because there needs to be both types of people in this world because if everybody was the same.. well then it would be chaos. I myself identify as in introvert and some people seem to have the wrong idea about what an introvert really is. It's different for everybody but there are some key traits that most, if not all, introverts share.

1. Alone Time Is A Must

As an introvert having that time to yourself if is something we need. Introverts can tend to get super stressed if they don't get their alone time. Many introverts are this way, and they plan their days around having that little bit of alone time if possible. It's not that introverts don't like people. it's just that we enjoy our own company too.

2. Being Around A Lot Of People Can Be Draining

It's not that you can't handle being in big crowds or never want to be, but it can become overwhelming and sometimes quick. as introverts we can absolutely enjoy the occasional night out, but at the end of the day you still can't wait to go home to the comfort your own 'habitat'.

3. You Find Small Talk Ponderous

Small talk is the worst for an introvert. Introverts are often deep thinkers and small talk is quite the opposite of that. We are often searching for deeper conversation that let's us get to really know a person, in which small talk prevents. When first meeting someone a little bit of small talk can be alright but an introvert will often try to take the conversation to a deeper level if interested in getting to know you.

4. You Tend To Ignore Phone Calls

Unless you know a phone call is really important and you have to answer introverts tend to ignore phone calls as much as possible. I mean it is 2016 we have the lovely advances of technology where it is possible to do so, text and email are an introverts number one way of communication when not directly with the person they are talking with.

5. You've Been Told You Have An "Old Soul"

Maybe it's because introverts tend to be more in-depth thinkers or because introverts tend to seem more mature for their age. Regardless what the reasoning is introverts tend to be labeled as old souls. Whether or not you like this titled it is without a doubt that introverts often carry the traits of what one would consider an old soul.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
