5 Signs You Are A Disney Lover

Whether it’s a “Tale as Old as Time,” a “Wish Upon a Star,” or being “Part of Your World,” Disney fanatics come in bulk. We can recite the lines, sing the songs, and dream about the days when we can walk around the different parks and meet our favorite Disney characters. Many people think that Disney is just for kids and that is where the magic ends. But that is not true at all. The Disney magic lives long into adulthood! Here are 5 signs you are true Disney lover!

1. You find a mouse head wherever you are. No matter where you are, no matter what you are doing, you will find something that reminds you of the legendary Mickey Mouse. It could be the molding on the side of a building; the way IHOP arranged your pancakes and sausage patties, or even finding Mickey in the polka dots on your leggings. He is anywhere and everywhere.

2. You dream of Dole Whip. This delicious treat is available at the Disney Parks in the United States. It is absolutely delicious and I have not met one person who did not like it. And there is a special treat for those of drinking age where they make a Dole Whip float with rum. Disney tries to make everyone happy and Dole Whip is just one example.

3. You cannot possibly pick a favorite movie or character. Each movie has it’s own message that it is trying to portray. It could be Frozen, where we learn the power of a sisterly love. Or maybe it is Peter Pan that taught us to love our inner child. It also could be Beauty and the Beast which taught us to look inside of people and to not judge someone by the way they look. No matter which movie you are watching, Disney will make sure to teach you a valuable lesson.

4. You will finish any Disney song that is started. You know every word from every Disney song and you will finish the song if you hear it started. You’re not afraid to be standing in the grocery store singing “A Whole New World.” People may find it weird, but you know that you’re just spreading the Disney Magic to the normal people

5. You know the difference between Disney and Disney-Pixar. Although both companies are Disney owned, there is a slight difference between Disney and Disney-Pixar. Disney is known for their “Once Upon a Time” stories while Pixar is known for their “What If” approach. Disney focuses more on the stories of princesses finding their princes, the servants becoming royalty. Pixar focuses on wondering what would happen if cars could talk or if toys came to life when their child was away. They take a fun spin on common objects. They may be slightly different companies, but they both produce amazing films.

Although this is only 5 signs that you are a Disney lover, and there are a million other options I could have put in this article, I know that each Disney fan can relate to this article in many ways. I have loved Disney since I was born and I can honestly say that Disney will be with me for the rest of my life.

…. And they lived happily ever after.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
