Ever have one of those moments where you think to yourself, "Oh crap, that was stupid," or "I was an idiot for doing that!"? I'm confident to say that everyone has gone through that moment of realization you had just messed up big time. If you are one of the prideful few who deny this, then just wait. This moment is coming for you.

Here are five signs everyone goes through right before they realize they messed up at life:

1. Your friends don't agree with your "advice"

You are having a late-night talk with your girlfriends about the guy you like. You tell them, "It's okay to start 'talking' to him, right?" When all your friends don't say a word or only mumble a response then you know something is wrong.

2. Nothing goes according to plan

After you start talking to that guy, the conversations don't go according to plan. He starts talking about strange or inappropriate subjects. You thought the guy was a gentleman, but by your conversations he is the exact opposite.

3. You have to help create the reality in your head

Since nothing is going according to your plan, you have to nudge the conversation, situation, or action to go in the route you want it to. You have to direct the conversation to where you want it to go, or you have to instigate hanging out with the guy you like.

4. You get butterflies in your stomach but not the good kind

Ever had a serious case of butterflies? Yeah, well when you think of being with the guy you have them, but for some reason you also have a bad feeling about the upcoming situation. You're excited to see him but also want to stay far away from him.

5. All hell breaks loose

That moment when you finally step back from the situation you find yourself and realize that life did not go the way you wanted it to. All hell broke loose even though you tried your best to control the situation. You wonder, "What the heck was I doing way back when this all started?" Then you get that sinking feeling that even though you thought you were doing a good thing, you actually just made matters worse. Now you have to fix everything you thought would do good, and you're secretly wanting to just go crawl up in a hole and cry. The realization sucks because all the effort you put into making your life great was an epic fail.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
