5 Signs It Is Finally Spring In Michigan

1. Shorts. Everywhere.

May still only be 40 degrees, but hey that's like a heat wave compared to single digits in the winter months. Everyone breaks out their shorts during this time after a couple months of having to be bundled up.

2. May still have an occasional snowy day.

Believe it or not, but it could be 65 degrees one day and be cold and snowy the next. Or even in a matter of one day.

3. No longer gets dark before 5pm.

Hello sunlight! Finally getting more than 8 hours of sun a day. As summer slowly creeps back, the sun won't set until closer to 9pm, rather than 5pm. Giving us more time in the day light.

4. Outdoor activities are back.

Spring sports. Hockey playoffs (Go Griffs!), Tigers baseball is back. Outdoor concerts, Bonfires. Finally the time is back where we all actually enjoy being outside.

5. Hello rain.

Chances are in the spring, it will rain 2-3 days a week, at least. But April showers bring, May flowers. So next months everywhere will have pretty green grass, and flowers everywhere.
