Last week, I was blessed with the exciting news that Ed Sheeran would be releasing new music on Friday, January 6th, 2017. Now personally, I think his album "X" is one of the best albums I've ever heard to this day, if not the best. He is a fantastic singer and his lyrics hit all of the emotions and I love him. So. You can imagine how enthusiastic I was when I found out Ed would grace the first week of 2017 with his musical masterpieces. This got me to thinking of my typical tendencies when I find out one of my favorite artists releases new music.

1. As soon as the clock strikes their release time/date you run to Spotify or Itunes and continuously refresh the pages until they pop up. *Duration of time tbd*

2. Once you let this new music wash over your soul you simply cannot control your emotions.

3. You proceed to listen to it or them more times on repeat than you'd care to admit and you're still having the same reaction.

4. Then you have to share your excitement with your friend so you make them listen to it someway somehow.

5. And because this artist and their music is obviously flawless your friend then joins your excitement.

Proceed to repeat steps one through five as many times as need be. This is exciting stuff, I don't blame you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go listen to Ed's new music an embarrassing amount of times and text my friend about it. Happy listening!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
