5 Signs You're Falling in Love
Start writing a post

How do you know when you're falling in love? This is such a simple question, yet the answer is rather complicated. Falling in love is such an indescribable act. We have all heard the cliche saying, "There's 7 billion people on the planet; there is someone for everyone." Well, if I am being completely honest here, I have had plenty of moments where I would encounter a couple taking a brisk walk and I would then stop and ask myself, "If she found a man, why can't I?" I think the self pity, doubt, and the "I am not good enough" thoughts are things that pass through every single woman's mind. Well, the truth is, before you begin to fall in love with someone else, you have to fall in love with YOURSELF first. This especially applies to millennials. (Generation Y). We are a generation obsessed with the idea of love, but we would rather be alone than risk vulnerability. Being vulnerable is not just about revealing your naked body, but it is also about revealing your naked soul. Many of us are not willing to take that sacrifice. If you are able to fall in love with yourself first, then you are demonstrating what true love really is. You do not need a man to come along to tell you you're beautiful. You were beautiful before he told you. Just when you start falling in love with yourself, someone will storm into your life and ruin it with their love. Here are the five signs that you are absolutely falling in L-O-V-E:

1. You cant stop smiling

He makes you so happy. Whenever you hear his name, see his face, or receive a text message from him, you instantly start smiling like an idiot. You cant help but smile. He genuinely makes you happy.

2. You're constantly thinking about them

The first thought in the morning is about him/her. Your last thought before bed is about him/her. You are unintentionally meditating. You have even been caught a few times staring into blank space, followed by the "Are you okay?" question.

3. Anything you do with them is fun

Literally anything you do with this special person is satisfactory, just because you are spending time with them. It does not matter if you spend all day lounging around being bums in bed, or if you choose to dress up for date night. You make anything worth while.

4. You stare at the phone

Well, in this day in age, being on the phone 24/7 is a part of the norm, but now you actually have a legitimate reason to be glued to the phone. Waiting for a good morning, goodnight, or I-miss-you text makes Mondays a little bit more bearable.

5. There's never an awkward moment

The two of you together are completely comfortable around each other. You do not have to fake or pretend to be someone else. What you see is what you get. Even when there is silence and the two of you have ran out of words, the silence is comfortable.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
