THANKSGIVING BREAK IS HERE! Amidst all good food and great company you'll be surrounded by during this time, if you ever find yourself with some down time and between shows, here are 5 TV shows you could begin over break.
1. Friends
This is an obvious one, but if you haven't watched it already, Thanksgiving break is a perfect time to. Not only does it have amazing Thanksgiving episodes each season, but the idea of 6 friends making their way through life together is a great way to remind ourselves that as long as we have great people around us, we can get through anything thrown our way. Also, it's just really funny.
2. Gilmore Girls
Gilmore Girls is a show full of 2000s pop-culture references and fast talking. If you like complicated relationships and quirky small towns, look no further. The people of Stars Hollow, Connecticut will captivate you without you even realizing it. If you're looking for something heartwarming to fill your spirits during the holiday season, the Lorelai Gilmores will do that and more.
3. Stranger Things
This one is a bit odd, but it's also perfect. 1. There are 17 episodes. You could so binge watch that in a week. 2. After seeing what these poor kids go through, you'll be very, very thankful you don't have a Demogorgon coming after you. 3. Even though they have no clue what's going on, the characters in this show stick together through everything. Get ready with a cozy blanket and get lost in Hawkins, Indiana.
4. The Andy Griffith Show
While I myself am in the midst of watching this show currently, I always find myself being in a better mood after watching it.
Whether it be the black and white screen or the personality and charm of Andy and Barney and Aunt Bee and Opie, this show fills my heart with happiness. Maybe if you're like me, you watched it growing up and it brings back nostalgia, which is perfect during this time of year.
5. Parenthood
Another show featuring Lauren Graham, Parenthood shows the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of being in a close-knit family (although they focus on the good). This show is realistic and captivating, and before long the character you thought you hated you end up rooting for. If you're looking for a show centered on family, the Bravermans are the family for you.
These shows are all on Netflix, so get some blankets, company, and leftover food from Thanksgiving and binge watch one of these awesome shows!
