5 Amazing Shows Returning This Fall

Everyone knows fall is the best time for television. So many shows come back for new seasons, and then next thing you know, you have at least an hour of TV to watch every night. I have compiled a list of some of my favorite (and my friends' favorite) shows that have just re-started or will be coming back soon!

1. "New Girl" (Returned September 20)

This show never gets old. There is always something crazy happening in the loft and it never disappoints. In last season's finale there was a wedding and a few new relationships forming. Now I won't spoil the season premiere, but Zooey Deschanel did an amazing job directing it, and it seemed like I never stopped laughing throughout the whole episode.

2. "American Horror Story" (Returned September 14)

It is always exciting when it's finally time for "American Horror Story" to return. If you haven't watched or even heard of "American Horror Story" yet, I will be impressed. The show is known for every season following a completely different storyline/horror movie trope. This year, unlike previous years, they kept the theme a secret until the premiere of the very first episode. Finally, we know that the story will be somehow connected to the Roanoke legend. They are even trying a new style of storytelling all together, so this season is sure to be surprising.

3. "The Walking Dead" (Returns October 23)

"The Walking Dead" really loves its cliffhangers. In the last 30 seconds of last season's finale, we got to watch a character die but through the killer's eyes. So for all these months, we have been left questioning and wondering who was actually killed. There are many, many theories about who dies, but we still won't know anything for almost a month. Some people think that the zombie apocalypse got stale after a few seasons, but I will stick close to this show. I care too much now.

4. "Grey's Anatomy" (Returned September 22)

Now I'm going to be honest, I've only seen the first season of this show. But with the amount of times that I have to hear about the show through my roommate and friends, I feel like I've seen every episode at least once. I do know that it is super stressful, so I'm sure the season premiere will have something big happening.

5. "The Vampire Diaries" (Returns October 21)

This show used to be my favorite. But as soon as Elena (Nina Dobrev) left the show, almost all my interest in it left with her. But it has been announced that this will be the last season, so I think I'm going to catch back up. This show has been with me through so much, and I feel bad abandoning it now. Damon Salvatore needs me. Also there is the (exciting) rumor that Nina Dobrev is coming back, so with her I will return.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
