Everyone loves Netflix, but Netflix isn't even that great. Think about it, they only put up a TV series one season after it has aired and the next season is about to come out. They only have movies that are at least two years old, and they don't even have many good movies. Granted, I love that they have a ton of older movies from the 90's and early 2000's because those are my favorite, but they always take them off after a while like that time they took off all of the classic 80's movies! I was so upset!

However, Hulu is where it's at. Hulu streams new episodes the day after they come out, and they stay up there for so many weeks before they are taken down. Then once the entire season has been finished they put the whole season up! They have current movies as well as old movies. They also have almost, if not all of, the 90's cartoons we watched as children!! Arnold, Rugrats, Ahhh! Real Monsters, and much more! Hulu is paid for monthly and for your first year you pay $5.99 (I think) a month and then every month after that first year is up it is $8.99, I believe. The only downfall of Hulu is that they do have commercials, but it's not that many. There are two commercial breaks for a 25-minute show and three, if I remember correctly, for a 40-minute show. The commercial breaks are about two minutes long. So, with that said, I am going to tell you about five series that you should be watching that are currently streaming on Hulu. Some of these are Hulu originals and some are not.

1. The Mindy Project

The Mindy Project is a single-camera comedy, starring Mindy Kaling, that follows a skilled OB/GYN navigating the tricky waters of both her personal and professional life, as she pursues her dreams of becoming the perfect woman, finding the perfect man and getting her perfect romantic comedy ending. This is a Hulu original series.

I love this show. There are currently four and a half seasons, so you better get to binge watching! I will warn you, though, this show has some long seasons! Mindy Kaling is super relatable and funny. Her antics will make you laugh and cry all in one TV show on occasion. As for kid friendliness, I would say it depends on what you as a parent considers inappropriate for children to watch. I would say parental guidance of 13 and under for sure.

2. Party Girl

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so Lisa, a 27-year-old in Los Angeles, is forced to take a job with a company that provides entertainment at birthday parties. It's a ragtag group of outcasts, but thanks to their hard-partying ways, Lisa fits right in with them. Lisa postpones adulthood for as long as possible until one of her co-workers falls for her and makes her question every decision she's ever made.

This is a freeform series streaming on Hulu, which is kind of like a mini TV show. The episodes range from 5 minutes long to 10 minutes long, so it's great for binge watching and for a quick laugh to pick your day up. There is only one season of it streaming on Hulu, and the season is not finished yet. Although it is a comedy, it gets pretty deep and kind of depressing. It is kind of comedy where you'll probably end up crying in the end. I wouldn't recommend this as a show for kids because of content and language. Even though it basically revolves around kids, the show's not kid-friendly because the kids in this show are brats that curse.

3. American Housewife

A confident, unapologetic wife and mother of three raises her flawed family in the wealthy town of Westport, Connecticut, filled with "perfect" mommies and their "perfect" offspring.

This is an ABC series streaming on Hulu. I love this show! It had me laughing within the first 10 minutes! It is hilarious, and if you're a mom then you'll definitely love it! I am not a mother, and it's one of my favorite shows. It is also kid friendly, so the whole family can watch it! They are still in season one.0

4. Scream Queens

Scream Queens is a new genre-bending comedy-horror anthology series. The series, produced by 20th Century Fox Television, is from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck, Iam Brennan and Dante Di Loreto, the executive producers of GLEE and "American Horror Story." The first installment in the new anthology series revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders.

Okay, this one is a little different. If you're not into the whole comedy-horror thing then you'll hate this because at times I actually ask myself "what the heck am I watching?" Then there are other times that I have to watch something after an episode to get my mind off the gore that I just witnessed. That is another thing, it is gory, real gory. If you don't like blood then I do not recommend this TV show for you. It is quite funny but not kid friendly AT ALL because of language and content! There are two and a half seasons of this show already. It does feature quite a few famous people like Ariana Grande, Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer, Nick Jonas, and John Stamos.

5. How To Get Away With Murder

The brilliant, charismatic and seductive Professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) gets entangled with four law students from her class, "How to Get Away With Murder." Little do they know that they will have to apply what they learned to real life in this masterful, sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller from Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, executive producers of "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal."
This is another ABC series that is streaming on Hulu.

I loooooveeee this show! It is extremely suspenseful and really interesting. It isn't like all of the other crime shows because this one focuses more on the law and it also involves the students themselves. So it isn't a "someone got killed let's find out who did it" show. It is way deeper than that, and I can't describe it too much without giving away some broad information that may still spoil it. It is THAT kind of show. There are two and a half seasons currently streaming. I highly recommend this one especially if you're into law, like I am, and also into mysteries. This is not kid friendly because of the content and language.

There you have it, five must watch series on Hulu! It is an array of shows too! These are some great shows to fill up your Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday, some that you can enjoy with the whole family and some you'll have to put the kids to bed in order to watch. I hope you enjoy!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
