It's finally here! The closing weeks of fall semester. Cram in the papers, the tests and of course the assignments that were due months ago. Don't worry though, while you're trying to finish the semester strong, raise that GPA, and make sure your social, academic and spiritual life doesn't fall short, I got your back.

So, here are a few scriptures to remember during those chaotic moments.

1. Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." NIV

So next time you're crying about being a fifth year senior and yet you have no idea where life is going, don't worry because with Jesus on your side, it's going to be good!

2. Ephesians 3:20

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." NIV

He knows we struggle. Whether you need five cents, five dollars, or five thousand dollars, a hot meal or just the strength to get through, He's got it for you. Never be afraid to press forward and ask for "above and beyond," but never forget to first be thankful for what you already have! That's just as important as what you're in need of.

3. Luke 22:32

"But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail." NIV

When you feel really down in the dumps, just remember Jesus is literally rooting for you and cheering you on 24/7. CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP.

4. Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." NIV

Well, even if you don't wanna go to school, class, work, or vocal juries (AM I RIGHT?!) IT'S OK because Jesus is right there with you!

5. John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." KJV

If none of these scriptures do it for you, just remember that God loves you so much. Through your mental breakdowns, your empty pockets and empty bank account, your "irrational" emotions and emotional episodes, HE LOVES YOU. FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
