5 Science Documentaries To Geek Out On During Winter Break

Since it is winter break and there is free time up the wazoo, its time to snuggle up on the couch and get your nerd on. I love a good documentary about pretty much anything, but the science ones are definitely my favorite. Here are 5 that are available on Netflix that you can watch today!

1. My Beautiful Broken Brain

This is perfect for anyone interested in health related sciences. It takes a look at a woman who suffered a stroke at a relatively young age and all of trials and tribulations she faced on her road to recovery.

2. More Than Honey

This documentary takes a look at why honey bees are disappearing worldwide and the damaging effects it will have on our planet.

3. The Beginning & End of Our Universe

Ever wonder how our universe came to be? Watch this 2 episode series to learn about how it all got started and perhaps how it might end....

4. The Beginning Of Life

Anyone who plans to work with children, have children, or just thinks babies are cute should check this one out. Learn how not only children learn in the first years of life, but also how it will effect the world for generations to come.

5. Life

This series is pretty interesting, it has a total of 10 episodes that focus on different creatures here on Earth. So even if you aren't super interested in the "Insects" episode you can still check out the "Reptiles and Amphibians" one!

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
