If you're a city junkie like myself, you'll know how important it is to find a good spot to grab some food. It's not always the most affordable food but some places are to die for. Within the last few years, I found some places in New York that I would go to over and over again, especially during the summer time. If you're heading to NYC in the near future, you should definitely check out these food joints.

1. Black Sushi

Located on 719 8th Ave, it is easy to miss this small restaurant that holds some amazing sushi. If you crave sushi EVERY single day like myself, this will sure satisfy your cravings. Did I mention they also have organic sushi? For my healthy eaters, they have sushi that contains black rice if you're looking for a healthier option. I personally liked my tuna and salmon rolls and sashimi combination.

2. Lombardi's Pizza

Located in the Little Italy section on 32 Spring St, this pizza joint is highly regarded for its delicious pies. I always enjoy a slice of Margherita pizza so naturally I ordered an Original Margherita pie, of course it was not all for myself and I was easily able to share it with another person. If you're craving a pie, this is probably the spot for you.

3. Platters (Halal Guys)

An oldie but a goodie, the original Halal Gyro Platter cart is located on 53rd and 6th Avenue (across from the Hilton). They offer some of the best chicken and rice platter that you will ever have and don't forget to take the white sauce! This is good if you're looking for a quick but satisfying lunch, dinner, or even midnight snack.

4. Shake Shack

One of the best cheeseburger and fries you will ever indulge in! Shake Shack offers some of the best burgers and fries I have ever eaten. The city has a few spots located in different parts of Manhattan. I personally like the Shake Shack located in Madison Square Park where you are able to order and eat your food outside on a nice summer day. Enjoy a milkshake while you're at it too.

5. Cones Ice Cream

If you love gelato, you'll definitely love this place. Located on 272 Bleeker St., Cones offers a variety of flavors, so you'll definitely find the one that suits you. If you're a huge Dulce de Leche fan, you'll be leaving satisfied. This dessert is sure to be the perfect ending to a day in the city.

I'm not always able to go to the city, but when I do, I make sure to go to one of the places, especially during the summer. I never leave any of these restaurants unsatisfied. Coming from a food lover like myself, I definitely recommend trying one of these restaurants at least once this summer!

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
