Election season has everyone riled up and trying to understand one another. However, we as Americans are famous for not agreeing with each other. This election has seemed to cause more harm than good on American moral.
1. We are all human.
We are all human, and we all have a say in who becomes the leader of our country. Do not tear one another down due to their political views. You are your own person and should only worry about your own opinions and what matters to you if you can't agree to hold a civil conversation then you shouldn't be talking about politics.
2. Agree to disagree.
When the topic of politics comes into conversation it can usually get pretty heated. There is no point in constantly arguing to get someone to understand your views. Just remember that there is a big difference between an educated conversation and an unnecessary dispute.
3. Vote.
It is our civic duty to elect a president for our nation. Some may say that these candidates were not our first choices, however, the reality of it is that this is what we have to choose from. If you think you're vote doesn't count it does, and if you think you shouldn't vote for anyone because you don't like the candidates you are wrong. Every vote counts and every vote matters.
4. You are voting for more than just the president.
Some of the propositions on the ballot this year will influence your life for many years to come. Although electing the president is seen as the most important part of voting, don't overwhelm yourself with that decision and forget about what else you have a say in.
5. Educate yourself.
Make sure to educate yourself so that you know what you are voting for. You don't want to mark random boxes on your ballot without discovering your own true opinion. Don't let the influence of others affect your vote, think about what is true to yourself
