These last few weeks at home are bittersweet, but I bet you're ready to go back. As eager as you were to go home after spring semester, these have been the longest three months of your life. Almost every college kid can agree they're ready to go back for these five reasons:
1. You miss your friends.
Obviously this is the most agreed upon reason. You may love your high school friends, but it's just not the same. The people you meet in college and spend every minute of free time with are more important that you even realized, and you can't wait to get back to being with them 24/7.
2. You're excited to decorate.
If you're anything like me, you probably think you're the next Joanna Gaines and you love to DIY stuff and you've been doing it all summer. You have everything planned out for your dorm/apartment and can't wait to get it all in there.
3. You actually miss class (and no, I don't mean skipping).
In some odd way, you actually miss learning a little bit. I guess it's like they say if you chose something you love, you'll never work a day in your life.
4. You're tired of "adulting."
Going back to school = no more job! How couldn't you be excited for this?
5. You're always bored.
If you're lucky and you have a day off, odds are all your friends are working anyways. You're always bored and you understand why you were ready to leave in the first place.
Don't worry though, your time at home is almost up. Cherish it and spend as much time with your family as you can. They don't always feel the same way that we do, and they might miss you a little more than you realize.
