For those of you out there that have at least one sister, you know what it's like to be in constant fights over boys, clothes, friends, who's turn it is to clean the bathroom, and many other pointless disagreements. Although you may want to rip each other's heads off about 70% of the time, the other 30% of the time in which you both aren't trying to give each other black eyes is when you're a team. You both have each other's backs no matter what happens, and you take on every problem together. Your sister is and will always be your best friend through it all, even if you think you fight more than you get along.

1. She will do wrong to whoever has done you wrong.

Did a close friend stab you in the back? Did a dumb boy send you a nasty message? Your sister's on your side. Leave it up to her to give your friend some tough love and tell that person that he/she just lost a great friend. Leave it up to her to send that boy an even nastier message, one that will make him never want to mess with you again. She'll always assure you that you don't deserve any wrong doing, even if she doesn't directly say it to you. She'll let everyone know that she's the only one that can mess with you, which in a way is peculiarly satisfying.

2. She'll always want to hang out with you.

Okay, maybe not always. However, if you can't get your friends or your boyfriend to go to a concert or go on a crazy adventure with you, your sister is the perfect alternative. She'll be there with you to sing all the words to your favorite song, even if she has to fake it because her taste is music is completely on the other end of the spectrum. She'll be there with you when you spontaneously decide to ditch school and go on a road trip, or even just to the mall. She'll be there to buy you food, even when you have to beg her to for 20 minutes straight. Anytime spent with your sister is a lively experience.

3. She'll make sure you don't make yourself look stupid.

Ridiculous outfit? Are your pants see through? Not sure whether or not to double-text a boy? Your sister will tell you. Most of the time she won't sugarcoat it either. Although it may seem like she's being harsh or snide, she's normally right. You'll thank her later, trust me.

4. She appreciates you the most.

She'll always be there to let you know awesome you are, although most of the time she does it indirectly. She'll probably never tell you that she's proud of everything you've accomplished or that she's proud to be your sister, but she shows it in the way she expresses herself. Whether she shows it or not, she'll always be the person that wishes the best for you, and will always be your #1 supporter.

5. You'll always have her.

No matter what happens, your sister will always be your sister. She'll always be in your heart, and you'll always be in hers. You both have watched each other grow up and mature through life; no one will be closer to you than your sister is. Even if you spend years apart, once you see your sister, it'll seem as if you haven't even spent a day apart. She's your biggest blessing and will never give up on you.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
