5 Reasons Your Grandma Is Cooler Than You Think

1) She is your biggest fan.

I'm not kidding when I say biggest. Whether you got a tremendous or awful GPA last semester, you best believe that she has told all of her closest friends as well as all of her second and third cousins how smart her grandchild is, and how proud she is that they are attending college. Whether or not you know it, she loves seeing your Facebook pictures to see what you are up to, and uses it as bragging rights to all of her friends.

2) She gives the best advice.

While you may think that she "just doesn't understand" us Millennials, think again. Your grandmother is basically an encyclopedia for advice. She has decades of experience on you, and has been through just about everything in the book. She understands and has advice for every kind of drama in your life, not limited to but including boy drama, girl drama, friend drama, parent drama, and sibling drama. Next time you are in a stressful situation, make her your go-to girl.

3) She is a wealth of historical knowledge.

A lot has happened in the world in the time that your grandmother has been alive, and you might be surprised with the stories she has to tell from her point of view. Who knows, you might learn something interesting about your heritage that you may not have known had you not talked to her.

4) She cares about you in a way that no one else does.

Do you know anyone else that cares about you enough to take the time to mail you a card on Halloween? Or to carry your school picture in their wallet? She is always thinking about you, and would do absolutely anything to brighten your day (and whether you know it or not, you always brighten hers).

5) She will never judge you.

She always thought you were adorable, even when you wore blue eyeliner and tried to do your hair like Snooki. She will love you and will be proud of you no matter how many fights you get in with your parents, whether you get bad grades or not, or whether you are single and have thirty cats.

Let's take the time to appreciate our grandmothers - after all, they are pretty awesome ladies!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
