5 Reasons Why Younger Siblings Are The Best
Alyssa Lintz

Every once in a while, we get into little arguments with our younger siblings. There's always the occasional brawls, unkind words said, and the unbearable silent treatment. But at the end of the day, they are still our younger sibling who you always have to look out for.

1. Thank you for the constant laughs

When life kinda sucks at the moment, you can always count on your younger sibling to help with the laughs. From the jokes to the faces made, they can always help you crack a smile.

2. Thank you for being a constant friend

I know sometimes we don't get along but I know when I get upset at 11:00 at night, you are there to comfort me. You are there to listen when I need to vent and even though sometimes you ignore me, that helps because I just need to get it out.

3. You are always going to annoy the crap out of me

You are always going to be the person who annoys me the most and you are going to always be the person I can take that from. When it comes to other people, I will not tolerate it but when it comes to you, you can do anything to annoy me but at the end of the day I am stuck with you.

4. I will always have a friend

As my younger sibling, you can't get rid of me even if you tried to. You will always be by my side when I need a person to talk to and I will be your person who needs to defend you when others start to pick on you. Although you are taller than me now, I still have the need to protect you and that's how it will always be.

5. You are always going to be my younger sibling

No matter what life throws at us, we will always have each other and for that I am forever grateful.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
