5 Reasons You Should Be Watching "This Is Us"

Today someone asked me what my favorite show is and without a thought, I answered, "This Is Us." It is hands down the best tv show and here's why...

1. The storyline is so well thought out.

Every episode a new piece of the story unfolds in the most thought out way. It leaves you wondering every week just how they did it.

2. Every episode gives you the feels.

Raw emotion is what the show is about. As long as you have a heart you are likely to cry at every episode but it won't turn you away, it just makes you want to know more. Not only will you cry but you will fall in love with the characters and the whole show in general.

3. It's a family show.

Everyone over the age of 12 is most likely to love this show. It is a great show to sit and watch as a family and it really makes you realize how important family is. It brings up complex, but real world situations that are important in families.

4. The show depicts that every family is unique and that no type of family is the right family.

The show is not about a white picket house family. William has a male partner, the main characters are triplets who are not all the same race, and so many other examples. The show depicts real world families today and does a great job showing that no family is the wrong kind of family.

5. Everyone who watches has at least one character who they can personally relate to.

There are so many characters in "This Is Us" that every person who watches can connect to one member in the show for one reason or another. The same goes for situations. Everyone has gone through something rough in their life. The show does a great job accurately depicting sickness, death, weight loss, jobs, and so many other things that affect people's everyday life.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo
