Everyone has their one fictional character they absolutely love, even if they refuse to admit it. It may seem silly to have a fictional "crush", but it happens, and that's fine! For any of you out there that are SVU super fans, I'm sure you completely understand this. He is the one, the only, Detective Elliot Stabler, and he stole your heart from the first episode. Here are the top 5 reasons we all love Elliot Stabler

1. His way with kids

Elliot's got plenty of kids of his own, which makes him even more sensitive to the cases dealing with children. Whether they're young children or teenagers, he just seems to know how to work with them. Although this never really shows with his own kids, anyone who watches knows that kids just love him, and he loves them too.

2. His relationship with Olivia

Almost every SVU fan out there wanted Olivia and Elliot to be together, and we got our hopes up, and were let down every time. Even so, his "friendship" with Olivia is something to drool over. He's loyal, dedicated, and protective when it comes to her. As partners, Liv and El should always have each others backs, and he makes sure to do that. He seems to always know when Olivia is down, and is always there with support to make her feel better. Although we will never get to see Olivia and Elliot be together, we can still dream!

3. His inability to hide what he is thinking

Stabler has this problem where he can't really hide what he is thinking/feeling, and we love it. Whether he expresses these verbally, or by a facial expression, he let's people know what's going on in that head of his. When he disagrees with something or argues with someone, you can't help but slightly root for him because he's just so passionate about his beliefs and you love it.

4. His dedication to the job

Boy oh boy, Stabler works more than any other man I have ever seen. He puts his job before everything, and despite the problems this brings, you still love his hero complex. Elliot actually works WAY too much, and this takes a slight toll on him (as you can tell from his sudden departure). Through bullet wounds, colds, and family issues, he is either at the precinct or out working a case, and we are rooting for him to solve that case. We just can't get enough.

5. He's just so damn sexy

I mean, c'mon... look at him.

Need more?

How about him licking his lips? GOOD LORD

Okay, this one is just down right adorable. Look at that smile! What a precious human being he is.

This look just kills me, it's wonderful. That little half smirk is the way to my heart, so come on in Elliot Stabler!

Wow. Just wow. Beautiful.

There are so many more reasons to love this man, these are just 5. Any SVU buff could go on and on about this, but I'm not sure there's enough time in the world to write that article. Even if you're not totally in love with Elliot Stabler (I'm not sure why you wouldn't be), you can admit.. he's a hunk. So here's a big thanks to you, Dick Wolf, for producing this show and thank you to the writers for creating this character we could fall in love with. And another big thanks to you, Christopher Meloni, for bringing your beauty to SVU, stealing our hearts, and being the one and only Elliot Stabler.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
